Brook Run Neighborhood Association Committees
Following is a list of committees that the BRNA currently has in place. Each committee is lead by a group of Brook Run residents and there is plenty of room for more neighbors who would like to become involved. Communications Committee If you have graphic design, web site development or writing talents and would like to help promote all of the great things going on with the BRNA, this is the committee for you. Some of the things coordinated by this committee are the Brook Run News newsletter, BRNA web site, event flyers, signage and print advertising. Membership Committee This committee focuses on attracting and retaining BRNA members. Help promote the benefits of membership and create unique ways to get more neighborhood involvement with the organization. Public Affairs Committee Civic-minded residents on this committee enjoy working with the City of Des Moines, Polk County and the Brook Run Homeowner’s Association to address neighborhood concerns and stay informed and active with proposed developments in our area. Special Events Committee This committee is devoted to creating a sense of community by planning special events and activities such as the Brook Run Neighborhood Picnic, area parade float entries, seasonal celebrations and much, much more.
